Volunteer Chaplains

A strategic component of HUB is our team of trained chaplains.  HUB Chaplains are men and women who are dedicated to the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of those who are incarcerated, returning citizens, their family members and the communities they serve. A chaplain may be professional clergy or a layperson dedicated to serve outside the four walls of a church, most often in a volunteer capacity. Title: HUB Ministries Community Chaplain.

Becoming a HUB Ministries Community Chaplain

The role of Community Chaplain is one that may fulfil your potential to have a real impact on the world around you. If you’re passionate about building connections and creating real change in people’s lives, particularly assisting them on their spiritual journey, this may be just the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

As a HUB Community Chaplain, you’ll represent HUB Ministries, and be a potential link between the community, the jails and prisons, the probation office, family members and local churches. You’ll receive training from our experienced leaders, and we’ll provide you with logo apparel so you are visible as one of our people in the community.

You may simply sit and have a conversation with someone who is lonely or otherwise struggling.  While meeting with those who are or were incarcerated – you may put them in touch with other services or organizations that can serve their needs.
